31 Days of Toons

I know it has been a while...life presents some hiccups sometimes, but now it is time for catch up.

Day 6 Getting into Exosquad now...a personal fave of mine...

Phaeton was the leader of the Neosapien regime after the occupation of the Home worlds. His rebellious nature went far into the past when he, along with his "brother" Marsala, was one of the leaders of the First Neosapien Revolt 50 years prior to the second one. Back then, he was captured by the Terran forces and led them to the other leaders' hideouts, but that only made his lust for revenge stronger. In the episode "Betrayal" Phaeton is captured specifically by a younger E-frame pilot who later became Admiral Winfield. It was Phaeton who influenced the Home worlds' decision for the Exofleet to hunt down the Pirate Clans, allowing his own forces to invade.

In my fiction, Phaeton is a neosapien, an artificial humanoid, designed to be the perfect worker on Mars and Venus. He took part in the first Neosapien rebellion as lieutenant, but when he was captured, he sold out the leader of the rebellion. This treasonous act has brought him the title of the martian governor, however, he was deviously plotting another rebellion by building E-Frames, the exo-skeletal vehicles designed first to explore the hostile planets, like Venus, but eventually designed for the military use, and were crucial of the crushing the first Neosapien rebellion. He builds secret factories on Venus to build E-frames, while using the political powers he has pushed further away the war against the Pirate Clans, which were made out of the former prisoners, who were previously used on Mars and Venus before the creation of the Neosapiens. While most of the Exo-Fleet was far away on Saturn battling pirates, Phaeton lead the army of the Neosapien E-Frames to capture Venus, Mars and Earth. It was a blitzkrieg in his space age form.

Following the capture of Earth, Phaeton declares, that from now on, the superior race (the Neosapiens) should rule. while humans should work for them. Thus all the humans were forced into labor camps, while Phaeton declares a new order, the Neosapien Empire with the capital at former Chicago, now named Phaeton-City. He also ordered the construction of the GRAF shield, the gravitational focus device to protect Venus. But a small band of human E-Frame pilots were able to escape the Earth, and they've become the core of the Resistance Front against the Neosapiens.

It was about this time that Phaeton began work on two projects. One was a massive Neosapien breeding facility on Mars, one built into the greater mass of the massive volcano of Olympus Mons. The other project, a massive warship to be his flag ship, wouldn’t be completed for over a year. The E-Frame Able Squad was sended there to stop Phaeton, and it was there he first fought his nemesis, Lt. JT Marsh, commander of the Able Squad, to the death on the Olympus Mons mountain. He survived, but was horribly disfigured, and begin suffering from the Auto-Mutation Syndrome, which affects all Neosapiens.

Following the accident, Phaeton orders the reward on JT Marsh's head, as well as his commander, Commander Centurion, the captain of the Exo-Fleet and chief of special operations. He also attempted to sabotage the talks between Pirates and Exo-Fleet, because their alliance could means the end of the war and the beginning of the end for the Neosapien Empire. But he failed, and now the pirates became part of the Exo-Fleet, aside from a small group of mercenaries, who joined Neosapiens.

Meanwille, several of Phaeton's generals begin to conspire to takeover his Empire for themselves, however, Phaeton was able to outsmart them by using clones of himself and cloning his own generals.

He also created some new species of Neosapiens: Neo Megas, which was more intelligent than original Neosapiens; Neowarriors, hybrids of neosapiens and animals, to serve as the infantry; and Neo Lords, the ultimate Neosapien warriors. However, that does not stopped humans from reconquer Mercury and Venus, however, Mars was destroyed do to interference by some aliens.

The continuation of defeats has took great damage on Phaeton's mind, considering that his Auto-Mutation Syndrome was getting worser by days. He's now become more paranoical and arrogant, suspecting anybody in betrayal. When the Neo Megas was trying to stage a coup to get rid of their unstable leader, he ordered them all to be exterminated, except two, Lucullus and Grachhus. He also ordered to build a bunker underneath the Phaeton City. He also ordered his general Shiva to suicidly attack the Exo-fleet near Venus, but that proven to be a failure. Lastly, he created the anti-matter bomb to destroy the Earth with him and his enemies, so that, as he stated: "If i go down to hell, then i shall take my enemies there with me!" But then, JT Marsh, who's been premoted to Captain, and Commander Centurion storms in Phaeton's bunker, and during the battle Phaeton has tried to detonate the bomb, but he was stopped by Lt. Nara Burns, who use her telekinesys powers on him. “You, you aren’t human!” he gasped. Nara stood and raised her blaster at the tyrant. “My mother, and my father were human. And so was my brother.” she declared. She suddenly slackened her telekinetic hold on Phaeton. With her concentration broken, Phaeton saw his one chance and leveled his own blaster at Nara and fired. She dodged quickly, and landed a killing shot into the rapidly liquifying mass that was Phaeton. With that final desperate shot, the Neosapien tyrant was dead, and so was his Empire. There was one of Phaeton's clones remained on Venus, but he was never activated and soon was destroyed.

Phaeton's legacy was surpassed even him, when the Drule Empire spies got the hold of the Neosapien designs. These designs were somehow went into the past, where in year 2000 Zarkon, new Emperor of the Drule Empire and leader of the Dark Alliance, has decided to recreate the Neosapiens as part of his army. Ultimately, those plans have failed, when planet Doom was destroyed by the after-effects of the Neutron Vortex, and final attempt was made on planet Tlalak, briefly been captured by Dark Alliance. It was finally been destroyed by Centurion Prime during his team raid on the floating city, and none single Neosapien was able to come out of the breeding factory.
