Hah! Two of my favorite cartoons from my childhood. An awesome crossover idea and a superb art piece as well.

It amazes that so many think that Megatron will apparently steamroll through Voltron. Way I see it, Megatron's only possible chance is his cannon, but depending on Arus's gravitational pull, its power may be greatly effected, that's why his cannon was always more powerful on Cybertron and in deep space than it was on Earth. For reasons that never really made much sense to me, it was stated in an old 1980's Transformers sourcebook that Earth's gravitational field actually weakened the cannon. I don't understand it or agree with it, but anyhoo...

I don't know if anyone would want to consider this or not, seeing how what I'm about to mention isn't necessarily canon(pardon the pun). But in the recent Transformers comic 'All Hail Megatron' a battle like this happened when Devastator turned on Megatron. He let loose with the cannon with multiple shots, but it had no effect. Now granted I don't know how Voltron's construction and combining joints stack up compared to Devastator, but if this fight goes the same way that that one did, I don't see this ending well for Megatron. Yes there is the issue of Voltron's 5 minute time limit before energy is exhausted, but it only took Devastator a few seconds to take out Megs.

Someone brought up the point that Megatron's anger can get the best of him, that is certainly true at times. Fans know that when he is cool and collected he can be quite dangerous. In the original series he took out Bruticus with just one shot of his canon by aiming in a very presise spot that dissassembled him. One could argue that he could probably do the same with Devastator. As the trecherous Decepticon leader that he is, it only makes sense that he would know all of the weaknesses of his subordinates just in case they ever went rogue. But when he gets angry tactical intelligence tends to go out the window, and the fight with Devastator proved that. As such, if he charges into a fight with Voltron half cocked he's gonna get trashed.

But then again dreno 360 did bring up targeting Voltron's fuel reserves, which could work, but how would Megatron know where it is?

But just to show that I am not being biased,...

I remember reading somewhere that Megatron can also sub-dimensionally link his cannon to a black hole, generating even more powerful antimatter blasts. However, this ability is almost never used, as it leaves him extremely weak and vulnerable. If Voltron were hit with that things would get ugly, but I don't know if that ability was ever catagorized as part of the canon continuity or not.

Unless Megs has detailed info on Voltron that he can use to his advantage I'm going with the lion force on this one.
